Transforming Stress with Yoga and Ayurveda
Research shows that we can help prevent and even reverse the harmful effects of anxiety, depression, weight gain, high blood pressure, and an endless list of other ailments and emotions in the body/mind with the practice of yoga, breath and simple ayurvedic self-care practices.
So many of us experience stress & anxiety and we can feel stuck in endless thought and worry. It’s hard to ask our minds to calm down. It’s not that easy to turn it off. During this yoga to reduce stress workshop, I will teach you about the power of utilizing specific yoga poses and the breath to create a calming, grounding and soothing effect for the mind and body. Together we will learn to quiet the mind and turn on the parasympathetic nervous system to foster relaxation and healing. Specific yet simple ayurveda self-care practices for additional support will also be offered.
At the end of class we will be utilizing the sandbags for optimal relaxation.
